Happy New Year Everyone

Happy New Year and all the best to our friends and followers in the coming year.

I came across a message in my e-mail box the other day that I thought you might be interested in.  It seems that WordPress.com have a bunch of statistics helper monkeys and they have prepared a 2015 annual report for our blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

A San Francisco cable car holds 60 people. This blog was viewed about 3,100 times in 2015. If it were a cable car, it would take about 52 trips to carry that many people.

Click here to see the complete report.

So you may be wondering where we are now.  Well, we are sitting snug as a bug in a rug at home, trying to stay warm. ;-{

With the falling dollar, we made the hard decision back at the end of November to cancel our reservations in the Florida Keys and stay home this winter.  We were also thinking that if our tan got too pale and we wanted to get away from the cold, we would just book a couple of weeks at an all inclusive.  Time will tell on that one, but with the dollar continuing to fall, who knows what will happen.

We have also been paying close attention to the weather in the far south and are wondering with all the floods, storms and snow (snow in New Mexico and Mexico) if someone wasn’t watching out over us.

Not to be discouraged, we have started looking at our options for this winter going forward into 2017.  We may end up back in the Florida Panhandle or Keys or we may end up in south Texas.  Or we may end up at both locations.  Who knows.

Stay tuned if you want to come for the ride.

  1. Hi Richard & Bev! I’m going to miss your regular updates & photos but totally understand why you’d like to stick around for a bit and save some money. Hope you are still able to take in a warm vacation. Richard – you are always welcome to come check out a Toastmasters meeting if you get really bored. 🙂 Take care! Melissa
