We had a pleasant drive to Regina today and had lunch with Karlie. The roads were dry and the sun was scarce but we were happy to finally be heading on our way south. There was a little snow visible in the fields but nothing like we encountered last year. Around 5 o’clock it was starting to get dark so we pulled into a rest stop in Whitewood. There was one other vehicle parked their, a semi unit, so we thought all was good. It turns out the semi left shortly after we arrived so we had the whole place to ourselves.
We turned the furnace on to warm things up. The inside temperature was +5, a little cool but it didn’t take long to warm up. After a few games of cribbage and a cup of tea, we hit the sheet. This is the first time we have gone to bed before 9 o’clock, ever.
