Where is the Sun?

Today was almost 3 times warmer than yesterday.  But we still didn’t get the +15, partly cloudy weather that was forecast.  We did see +9 with no wind as well as no sun.  It certainly would be more cheery out if we could see the sun.  They are forecasting warm and sunny weather for tomorrow, I sure hope they have it right.

Today we walked out onto he fishing pier and chatted with some of the fishers and a park warden.  You could actually see the Sheephead fish swimming under the pier.  I think they were smarter than those with the fishing poles as there weren’t that many fish being caught.

We also spent some time back at the bird feeders.  There were a lot more cardinals present today and the doves were singing to us. It was very relaxing just sitting and listening to the birds.

Before the sun was completely gone, we left the bird feeders to see if our friends, the whooping cranes, were in a better viewing area.  We could tell they were in the field because as we rounded the corner, you could see cars parked half way in the ditch.  There certainly were many photo opportunities today. The 5 or 6 vehicles that were parked stuck around until the two pair of cranes flew away.  I suspect they, the cars and the cranes, will be back tomorrow.
